Hello,
World!
Today I
decided to talk with you about my favorite story. It’s called “Alice in
Wonderland”. I don’t know why but I feel a strong connection with this story. I’ve
read the book both on Russian and English, I’ve watched almost all of the
movies and tv – series about the girl in a magical world, and most of them were
horrible to be honest, and of course I’ve played some computer games about it.
When I hear
something about this story I pay maximum attention to it. And every time I read
this book again I feel something really strange inside of me. And suddenly I remembered
a really good song which has a name “Stendhal Syndrome” by Tears of Mars (such
a good band but I’m not sure if they are still make music). Anyway, this song
describes everything you can feel if you love a song or a painting or different
piece of art so much.
So according
to Wikipedia, Stendhal Syndrome is a psychosomatic disorder that causes rapid
heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, confusion and even hallucinations when an
individual is exposed to an experience of great personal significance,
particularly viewing art.
I’m not
sure if I have this type of disorder but even if I like the story so much I have
never experienced such feelings. I’m really curious have you ever felt
something so strong about something artistic?
Thanks for
the attention.
Have a good
day.
